Marc Hébrart is a benchmark grower-producer based in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, revered for precision blending across Grand Cru and Premier Cru terroirs. The ‘Rive Gauche–Rive Droite’ cuvée is one of the estate’s most emblematic wines, conceived as a dialogue between the chalk-driven finesse of the Côte des Blancs and the power and structure of the Montagne de Reims. It is a true Grand Cru Champagne, built on balance, depth, and long lees aging.

WINEMAKER: Jean-Paul Hébrart

FARMING: Estate vineyards farmed sustainably with a focus on low yields, parcel expression, and careful harvest timing. All fruit is hand-harvested from classified Grand Cru sites.

VARIETY: 50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir.

TERROIR: Pinot Noir sourced from Aÿ Grand Cru, including parcels in Pruche, Cheuzelles, Longchamp, Cauffour, and Le Léon. Chardonnay comes from Grand Cru vineyards in Oiry, Chouilly, and Avize, including sites such as Justice, Montaigu, and Les Robarts. These chalk-rich soils contribute tension, salinity, and length, while Aÿ provides power and aromatic depth.

VINIFICATION: Fermentation takes place with malolactic fermentation completed. A portion of the wine is fermented and aged in oak barriques, adding texture and complexity while preserving freshness and site character.

AGING: Aged on the lees for over 60 months prior to disgorgement.

TASTING NOTES: Elegant and layered, with aromas of ripe orchard fruit, citrus peel, toasted brioche, and chalk. The palate is structured yet refined, showing a seamless interplay between Chardonnay-driven lift and Pinot Noir richness, with a long, mineral-driven finish.

FOOD PAIRINGS: Ideal with roast poultry, veal, lobster, or mushroom-forward dishes; equally compelling as a contemplative Champagne on its own.
