Diebolt-Vallois is a family-run grower-producer based in Cramant, at the heart of the Côte des Blancs. Under the direction of Jacques Diebolt and his children Arnaud and Isabelle, the estate is celebrated for Chardonnay-driven Champagnes that emphasize purity, precision, and terroir transparency. The ‘Tradition’ cuvée serves as a classic introduction to the house style—elegant, mineral, and finely balanced, with a focus on freshness and finesse.

WINEMAKER: Isabelle Diebolt
-
FARMING: Organic
-
VARIETY: 60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay
-
TERROIR: Fruit sourced primarily from Grand Cru vineyards in Cramant, with additional parcels from Chouilly and Premier Cru sites in the Côte des Blancs. Chalk-rich soils provide tension, minerality, and aging potential.
-
VINIFICATION: Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve aromatic purity; partial malolactic fermentation to balance acidity and texture.
-
AGING: Aged on lees for a minimum of 3 years before disgorgement; finished with an Extra Brut dosage to highlight clarity and freshness.
-
TASTING NOTES: Clean and precise with aromas of green apple, lemon zest, white flowers, and crushed chalk. The palate is taut and refined, showing bright citrus, subtle brioche, a fine mousse, and a long, saline finish.
-
