Domaine Glinavos 'Paleokerisio', is a semi-sparkling, semi-dry orange wine made using ancient Greek winemaking techniques. This unique and aromatic wine revives the traditional wines of the Ioannina region, blending indigenous grapes for a semi-sweet, semi-sparkling, distinctive drinking experience.
- Winemaker: Lefteris Glinavos, continuing the legacy of Domaine Glinavos with a focus on native grape varieties and traditional methods.
- Farming: Sustainably farmed vineyards.
- Variety: 97% Debina, 3% Vlahiko.
- Terroir: Grown in the high-altitude vineyards of Ioannina in Epirus, where cooler temperatures and limestone-rich soils contribute to the wine’s bright acidity and minerality.
- Vinification: Traditional vinification with 12 days of skin contact, resulting in an orange color, semi-sparkling effervescence, and partial fermentation in the bottle.
- Tasting Notes: Aromas of apple, orange peel, butter, and sweet spices like cinnamon and cloves. The palate is light and fresh with a touch of sweetness, balanced by a refreshing bubble and complex finish. Pairs wonderfully with light cheeses, appetizers, or Mediterranean dishes.
- Alcohol: 10.5%
