A classic Vermouth di Torino with 57 botanicals for the contemporary drink

Terroir: The distillery is ideally located in Piemonte on the way to the Maira valley, an area blessed with amazing botanicals where old traditions and values still dictate the work ethic.

Respect for mother nature and hand picked botanicals are core values to more than 130 years of distilling craftsmanship.

Originally from the Italian town of Monza, famous for its Formula One race course, Andrea Frigerio does not keep still. After moving to London and developing a taste for the local specialty gin and tonics, he set out to create his own distinctly Italian gin. Partnered with a historic distillery in Cuneo, he uses hand-picked wild mountain juniper and local, hand-foraged botanicals from the Maritime Alps to create his remarkably aromatic and expressive spirits. He also makes a vodka from a recipe using Piedmontese red potatoes that dates from the 1800s. ‘Family of Hounds’ honors his beloved rescued greyhounds, and Andrea invites all aficionados of fine craft spirits to share in his restless exploration and join in ‘drinking with the pack.’

Andrea’s Extra Dry Vermouth provides a super classic Piemontese iteration of this bartop staple, based on the local Gavi wine and leaning into a blend of 57 botanical distillates and infusions lending weight, texture and complexity. Drawing heavily on herbs, roots, and flowers hand-gathered in the mountains above Cuneo – among them marjoram, wild fennel, and gentian – the array of botanical distillates and infusions are first crafted separately in triple-distilled grain alcohol, then blended with a mixture of organically farmed Cortese as well as a small amount of cane sugar. The resulting elixir deftly balances sweet, savory and aromatic components, delivering a sharply briny ocean breeze flecked with orange peel, elderflower, sage, and mint. 1,300 bottles produced.
