Founded in 1925 in Lavandera, Asturias, Trabanco is a family-run cider house renowned for its commitment to traditional Asturian cider-making practices. The 'Selección' represents their flagship offering, crafted to showcase the finest expressions of natural cider from estate-grown apples.

  • CIDERMAKER: Trabanco Family

  • FARMING: Estate-grown, Sustainable

  • VARIETY: Blend of native Asturian apple varieties (bitter, acidic, and acidulous)

  • TERROIR: Orchards located in Lavandera, Asturias, characterized by a temperate maritime climate and rich, well-drained soils conducive to apple cultivation.

  • VINIFICATION: Apples are hand-harvested and fermented separately using indigenous yeasts. Fermentation occurs under controlled temperatures in traditional chestnut barrels, adhering to the guidelines for “Naturally Fermented Quality Ciders.”

  • AGING: Aged in chestnut barrels to develop complexity and depth, with racking performed during the waning moon to enhance clarity and stability.
