Meyer-Näkel Rosé of Pinot Noir, Ahr, Germany 2022

From one of Germany’s most esteemed Pinot Noir producers, the Meyer-Näkel Rosé is a vibrant, finely crafted wine from the steep, slate-rich slopes of the Ahr Valley. Known for producing red wines of elegance and precision, Meyer-Näkel applies the same philosophy to this salmon-hued rosé—delicate, expressive, and unmistakably Pinot.

• VARIETY: 100% Pinot Noir

• TERROIR: South-facing steep slopes in the Ahr Valley, with heat-retaining soils of weathered slate and greywacke. Protected by the Eifel mountains, the narrow valley benefits from a warm microclimate ideal for ripening Pinot Noir.

• VINIFICATION: Hand-harvested Pinot Noir grapes are pressed after short skin contact to achieve a salmon-pink hue. Fermented in stainless steel under temperature control. Aged on fine lees for several weeks and bottled after approximately 6 months.

• AGING: 6 months on lees in stainless steel

• TASTING NOTES: Bright salmon in color with aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, and hints of violet. The palate is juicy and refreshing, with vibrant acidity, subtle sweetness, and a silky, balanced finish.
