The residence was built on the ruins of a fortified castle destroyed during the Hundred Years’ War. Different owners succeeded one another until 1986, when the Laporte family, originally from the neighboring appellation, Montagne Saint-Emilion, bought the entire property from a Dutch group. Bruno Laporte, second generation is now running the show. This estate set east of the town of Saint-Emilion and the vines grow in a soil primarily based on gravel, clay, limestone and marl over an area of 20 ha. Farming is sustainable with organic products; hand harvested grapes and classic vinification produces a very well-structured wine.
Winemakers: Bruno Laporte
Variety: 10% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon
Farming: Sustainable
Terroir: Clay-limestone, gravel and marl subsoil. Situated 2 km from Saint-Emilion. Merlot vines are 35+ years old, with varied exposure.

Tasting Notes: Beautiful dark red, with aromas of blueberries, black currants, and vanilla. Rich mouthfeel, with lively and elegant finish.
