Weingut Reinhold Haart is one of the Mosel’s oldest estates, with viticultural roots in Piesport dating back to 1337. Today, Johannes and Marcus Haart continue the family's legacy, crafting elegant, terroir-driven Rieslings from the region’s steep slate slopes. This Kabinett is sourced from vineyards in the famed village of Piesport—including parcels in the historic Goldtröpfchen—where south-facing exposures and Devonian slate soils bring both vibrancy and aromatic depth.

• TERROIR: Loamy grey Devonian slate soils on steep slopes above the Mosel River in Piesport; south to southeast exposures; ample water retention from nearby forests

• VINIFICATION: Hand-harvested grapes are gently crushed and pressed; after 24 hours of sedimentation, fermentation occurs slowly with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel at low temperatures. Fermentation is arrested at ~8.5% ABV to preserve residual sugar and aromatic purity. Aged on lees for 6 months and bottled in late spring.

• AGING: 6 months on fine lees in stainless steel

• TASTING NOTES: Aromas of delicate tropical fruits, citrus blossom, and crushed slate. The palate is lively and lightly sweet, with zesty acidity, notes of ripe stone fruit, and a fine mineral core. Balanced and bright with a long, mouthwatering finish.

• FOOD PAIRINGS: Perfect as an aperitif or alongside Thai curries, Vietnamese spring rolls, sushi, or creamy cheeses. Will evolve beautifully with 5–10 years of cellaring.
