Fitapreta, led by winemaker António Maçanita, is celebrated for innovative expressions of Portugal's indigenous grape varieties. The 'A Touriga Vai Nua'—translating to "The Touriga Goes Naked"—showcases Touriga Nacional in its purest form, unadorned by oak influence, highlighting the grape's inherent character.

  • WINEMAKER: António Maçanita
  • FARMING: Sustainable practices with a focus on minimal intervention
  • VARIETY: 100% Touriga Nacional
  • TERROIR: Sourced from 30-year-old vines planted on schist soils at elevations between 300 to 400 meters in the Alentejo region, benefiting from a Mediterranean climate that enhances aromatic expression.
  • VINIFICATION: A portion of the grapes undergoes carbonic maceration to accentuate fruitiness and soften tannins, while the remainder ferments traditionally with indigenous yeasts. The wine is cold stabilized and racked to stainless steel tanks for three months, then bottled unfined and unfiltered to preserve purity.
  • AGING: Aged for 3 months in stainless steel tanks to maintain freshness and varietal integrity.
  • TASTING NOTES: Dark purple hue with fresh aromas of boysenberry, blackberry, plum, and blueberry, interwoven with ferrous mineral notes, anise, and rose petals. The palate is intense yet light, featuring lush blue and black fruits framed by fresh floral and slate-tinged mineral nuances, culminating in a long finish with a hint of white pepper.
  • FOOD PAIRINGS: Versatile with a variety of dishes; pairs well with grilled meats, Mediterranean cuisine, or enjoyed slightly chilled as an aperitif.
