Domaine de Terrebrune, located in the eastern part of Bandol near Ollioules, has been a reference-point estate since its founding in the 1960s. Now under the direction of Reynald Delille, the domaine is celebrated for its steadfast commitment to organic farming, deep-rooted Mourvèdre vines, and wines that combine power with remarkable elegance and longevity. The estate’s limestone-rich soils and maritime influence lend a distinctive freshness and minerality to this age-worthy Bandol Rouge.

WINEMAKER: Reynald Delille
-
FARMING: Certified Organic
-
VARIETY: 85% Mourvèdre, 10% Grenache, 5% Cinsault
-
TERROIR: Terraced vineyards planted on Triassic limestone and marl soils overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The proximity to the coast and elevation (~150–250 meters) moderate the climate and help retain acidity in the powerful Mourvèdre grape.
-
VINIFICATION: Native yeast fermentation in temperature-controlled concrete tanks; gentle pumpovers to extract structure without harshness.
-
AGING: Aged for 18–20 months in large old foudres, followed by extended bottle aging before release.
-
TASTING NOTES: Deep and brooding, with aromas of black plum, dried herbs, tobacco, and iron-rich earth. The palate is full-bodied and structured, revealing layers of dark fruit, garrigue, and savory spice, all framed by firm tannins and a long, mineral finish.
-
FOOD PAIRINGS: Pairs beautifully with grilled lamb, cassoulet, wild boar ragù, or aged hard cheeses.
