Gaston Chiquet, one of the leading grower Champagne houses, produces exceptional wines from their Premier and Grand Cru vineyards in the Vallée de la Marne. Their 'Tradition' Brut NV is a blend that highlights the house’s dedication to terroir and sustainable practices.
- WINEMAKER: Gaston Chiquet.
- FARMING: Sustainable practices, focused on preserving the ecosystem of Premier and Grand Cru vineyards.
- VARIETY: 40% Pinot Meunier, 35% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Noir.
- TERROIR: Sourced from 1er Cru vineyards in Hautvillers, Dizy, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, and Aÿ Grand Cru. Soils are predominantly clay and limestone over chalk.
- VINIFICATION: Fermented and aged in stainless steel, with malolactic fermentation to add creaminess. The wine spends 48+ months aging on lees to develop complexity.
- TASTING NOTES: A golden yellow hue with a fine mousse. Aromas of fresh bread dough, golden peach, chamomile, and ginger. On the palate, it’s full-bodied with a fluffy mousse and a well-balanced finish of fresh fruit and yeast notes.
