Sunspell, developed by Legend founders Jane Lopes and Jonathan Ross, celebrates Australian winemaking with a focus on environmental respect, community, and a sense of fun and brightness. 

• WINEMAKER: Jane Lopes and Jonathan Ross
• FARMING: Sourced from vineyards practicing sustainable viticulture
• VARIETY: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
• TERROIR: Grapes are sourced from select sites across Barossa Valley, Coonawarra, and Riverland. Soil types include terra rossa (red clay over limestone), clay-loam duplexes, and wind-blown sands over limestone and clay.
• VINIFICATION: All fruit was mechanically picked and destemmed throughout March and April 2022. Winemaking took place in stainless steel vats, prioritizing primary fruit and savory qualities over any oak influence. The wine is vegan-friendly.
• AGING: No oak influence; aged in stainless steel to maintain freshness
• TASTING NOTES: A lighter-style Cabernet Sauvignon with a combination of bright and juicy red and black fruits—quandong (a native red peach), black plum, and red currant—as well as subtle savory notes like green pepper, fern, and river mint. The palate offers fullness and roundness of dark fruit, with bright acidity and supple tannins creating a soft finish.
