Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe, a historic estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, is renowned for its traditional winemaking and expression of the region's terroir. 'Télégramme' serves as the estate's second wine, offering an earlier-drinking yet authentic representation of their style.

  • WINEMAKER: Daniel and Frédéric Brunier
  • FARMING: Sustainable practices
  • VARIETY: Predominantly Grenache, with Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Cinsault
  • TERROIR: Sourced from younger vines planted on the La Crau plateau, characterized by its galets roulés (large round stones) and limestone soils, contributing to the wine's minerality and structure.
  • VINIFICATION: Hand-harvested grapes are fermented with indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel and concrete vats, with gentle extraction methods to preserve fruit purity.
  • AGING: Aged for 15 months in large oak foudres, allowing for integration of flavors and development of complexity.
  • TASTING NOTES: Aromas of ripe red cherries, raspberries, and redcurrants are complemented by subtle notes of garrigue, licorice, and a hint of pepper. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with silky tannins, balanced acidity, and a lingering finish that showcases the wine's elegance and approachability.
  • FOOD PAIRINGS: Pairs well with roasted meats, grilled lamb, ratatouille, or aged cheeses like Comté, duck with cherry sauce.
      • 92 points – Wine Spectator: "Fresh and vibrant with a balance of fruit and structure."
      • 91 points – Jeb Dunnuck: "A charming, fresh, medium-bodied Châteauneuf-du-Pape with classic fruit and herb notes."
