West Sonoma Coast Wines

From Annapolis down to Bodega Bay and over to Freestone, important maritime influence, climatic exposures, and peaks and valleys make the West Sonoma Coast a unique wine-growing region. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay thrive here, but the area is also home to cool-climate Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, and more! Winemakers have to deal with the challenges of farming in super remote vineyards that are exposed to the true elements. Fog, sun, salty air, and gusty breezes all play a crucial role in the extended growing season experienced out here, often making wines with more nuanced flavor profiles and ageability than one might find further inland.
