Trout Fillet in Caper Sauce, ABC+ by Jose Gourmet, Portugal
- $20.00
Innovative, experimental, and extremely small scale, ABC+ is breathing new life into the world of conservas. As tinned fish gain popularity, giant companies are eager to consolidate, push production, and limit creativity in the name of scalability. Adriano is doing the exact opposite. ABC+ builds on tradition by developing new and elevated recipes preserved in a distinctive round can and expressing worldly sauces spanning the entire globe - think Bravas from Spain, Moqueca from Brazil, Aglio e Olio from Italy, Curry from Southeast Asian cuisines, and the list goes on - paired only with the highest quality seafood coming from the Port of Matosinhos only a few blocks from the cannery.Rich and meaty trout is brought to new heights by a bright and briney sauce bursting with garlic, parsley, and capers. This symphony of flavors tames the hearty fish into a dish that calls for savoring.
Trout is a freshwater fish, well known on the Portuguese menu. ABC+ sources theirs from the Rio Coura, in the north of the country. Rich in minerals, protein, vitamins, and flavor, this heavy hitter is a favorite in any sauce it shares. The Capers sauce is packed first and foremost with fresh, briney capers joined with parsley, onion, garlic, and white pepper. This bright emulsion is sure to liven up any accompaniment it comes in contact with.
SERVING: Center stage on a hearty rice dish in need of some brightness, atop crusty bread with complex and deep cheese, shared among friends with smiles

Cockles in Brine, Espinaler, Spain
- $32.00
FOOD ITEMS are available for SF LOCAL DELIVERY or CURBSIDE PICKUP only.
Espinaler Cockles in Brine, Spain
The Espinaler family started their long line of businesses in the late 1880s, with a small bar in Barcelona, serving wine and snacks. Eventually the Civil War in Spain caught up to them, and after it had passed, they were forced to reinvent themselves. In the 1950s, they introduced Espinaler Sauce to the market, a special blend of top quality vinegar, red pepper, black pepper and carefully selected spices, which with the years has made Espinaler Sauce known everywhere. Their line of premium conservas come directly from the Galician Rias, the coast of Malaga and from the best places of the country, direct to your table.
Plump and luscious, cockles are a dependably delicious clam known for their barb-like foot, their rich, clammy taste, and their firm (but not chewy) texture. Harvested from the rías of Galicia, each clam is hand cleaned of silt and sand to ensure a grit-free, premium experience. In this slightly smaller size, we recommend folding them into angel hair with white wine and capers, or using the brine to make a cream sauce with garlic and shallot for a homemade white clam pizza.
TASTING: briny, meaty, sweet
PAIRING: vodka, chardonnay, dashi
INGREDIENTS: Cockles, Water, Salt

Conservas de Cambados 'White Tuna Belly Fillets in Olive Oil', Spain
- $22.00
Conservas de Cambados 'White Tuna Belly in Olive Oil', Spain
Located in Spain's northeastern region of Galicia, Conservas de Cambados focuses on preserving the freshest of seafoods found in the Galician estuaries (rías gallegas). With over 900 miles of coastline packed into this one small region of Spain, Conservas de Cambados capitalizes on existing relationships with local fisherman to acquire each day's best catches from the local markets, and processes and cans each specimen of Galician goodness by hand.
Soft, succulent, and bursting with richness, the prized belly meat of bonito is an indulgent treat any night of the week.
Harvested by pole & line in Puerto de Burela off the north coast of Galicia, this is a product marked with care through every step of the process. The fatty meat does all its own heavy lifting but the premium olive oil it comes bathed in doesn’t hurt it’s righteous cause one bit. It’s a must try on its own and we love it most eaten fork to mouth. It also plays nicely with pickled things like shallot and cornichon atop hunks of crusty bread.

65% Ceremonial Aztec Chocolate
Chocolatier: Domantas Uzpalis
Moctezuma, the fierce Aztec emperor, was sitting alone in the balcony, overlooking the lake Texcoco in Tenochtitlan. The humid scent of smoke, spice and vanilla wafted up to him from the humming central market. A golden goblet full of liquid chocolate was resting on emperor's palms. After taking a generous sip, Moctezuma gazed into the goblet, trying to read the chocolate froth as if it were a portal into the future. At the same time, the ambitious Spanish conquistador Hernan Cortes was finalizing the details of the siege of Tenochtitlan he would soon lead, terminating the Aztec emperor's rule forever...

Pio Tosini Sliced Prosciutto di Parma, Italy [3 oz.]
- $14.00
Pio Tosini Prosciutto di Parma, pre-sliced 3oz
The roots of the Pio Tosini company run deep and date back to the beginning of the last century (1905) in the heart of northern Italy, where Ferrante Tosini (Pio Tosini’s father) started his business slaughtering pigs and curing his own cuts of pork meat in the back room of the family’s grocery store. After World War I, he was assisted by his young son Pio and together they gradually improved the business, experimenting with new processing techniques and curing methods.
Today, Pio Tosini is still a family company, where Pio’s son-in-law and nephew carry on their family’s century old tradition and passion.
This sweet ham is cured in the town of Langhirano, Italy, by the family-owned and operated Pio Tosini company, who is one of the most credible and sought-after producers of Prosciutto di Parma and has been in operation for over 80 years. There are only four ingredients that go into this ham: Italian pigs, salt, air and time. At Pio Tosini, a minimum curing time of 600 days (more than 200 days longer than typical prosciutto production) allows for slow and even salt penetration, assuring the sweetness of the hams. Each ham is trimmed, deboned by hand and personally selected. We have then sliced it to perfection for individual use. Pio Tosini is known for remaining true to the quality and authenticity of the curing tradition.

- $20.00
Albacore Tuna Loins in Abuela Huidobro's Tomato Sauce, Artesanos Alalunga, Spain
Artesanos Alalunga is much more than just a commercial brand. It is a family project, forged from the passion for gastronomy and the determination to offer the world the benefits of the Spanish coasts, in which canned fish from the Cantabrian Sea is preserved and captured using sustainable fishing techniques.
- They first prepare a homemade sauce made with homegrown fresh tomatoes. Once the sauce is ready they turn off the stove, place the albacore loins and let it rest and cook with the remaining heat. That is the traditional recipe. A piece of bread is essential.
- Each summer, schools of Albacore make their way into the Bay of Biscay in search of food. There, they are caught by local fishermen and sold in market on the same day. Alalunga only crafts their “Bonitos” from this bounty in the summer months, when they are local and fresh as can be.
